2. FORECAST (09 JANUARY - 15 JANUARY)
Solar:
R1 with a chance of R2 solar flare activity is forecast across week
09-15 Jan the given the past flare activity of active regions 4334
and 4336.
Geomagnetic:
G1 geomagnetic conditions are forecast for 09-Jan due to the
effects of a coronal hole high-speed wind stream. G0-G1
Conditions are forecast on 10-11 Jan due to these ongoing
effects, G0 chance G1 is forecast over 12-14 Jan as this elongated
coronal hole moves across the solar disk, falling to G0 by 15-Jan.
Frequencies:
MUFs may become depressed 10-15% on 9-11 Jan, with some
depressions possible on 12-14 Jan due to ongoing high-speed
wind stream effects. MUFs near predicted monthly values by
15-Jan.
