2. FORECAST (02 OCTOBER - 08 OCTOBER)
Solar:
Solar flare activity is expected to be at the R0 level over
the week.
Geomagnetic:
G1, chance G2 geomagnetic activity is expected on the 02-Oct. This will give way
to G0, chance G1 conditions on the 03-Oct, before increasing to G1 on the
04-Oct.
Geomagnetic conditions on the 05-Oct are expected to be G0, chance G1. The
remainder of the week is expected to be at G0 levels. Activity is due to a CME
first observed on the 28-Sep, followed by another on the 30-Sep.
The latter CME will likely coincide with a coronal hole high speed wind stream.
Both CMEs are expected to only glance the Earth.
Frequencies:
Maximum Usable Frequencies (MUFs) in the Australian region are
expected to be near predicted monthly values on the 02-Oct. Depressions of up to
15% are anticipated over the 03-05 Oct. Conditions will should then return to
predicted monthly values for the remainder of the week.
