On UT day 03-Apr solar flare activity is expected to be R0-R1. S0
solar radiation storm conditions are expected, though the solar proton
flux is currently mildly enhanced at 4PFU. The Earth has entered a
coronal hole wind stream earlier than expected with the solar wind
speed increasing to very strong. Planetary G2 conditions were observed
overnight. The solar wind speed is expected to remain very strong for
today. G1, chance G2 geomagnetic conditions are expected. HF radio
propagation conditions are expected to be poor to normal. Maximum
usable frequencies in the Southern Australian region are expected to
be depressed by up to 30%. Northern Australian region MUFs are
expected to be near predicted monthly values. Isolated minor fadeouts
are possible.
