On UT day 12-Aug G4 geomagnetic storm conditions commenced from 1442
UT, along with several periods of G3 geomagnetic conditions.
Australian geomagnetic conditions reached G3. Auroras may be seen in
middle to southern areas of Australia. These geomagnetic conditions
are expected to continue on 13-Aug. Solar activity on UT day 13-Aug is
expected to be R1-R2. The solar wind is expected to be strong. S0
solar radiation storm conditions are expected. HF radio communication
conditions are expected to be degraded, and maximum usable frequencies
are expected to be depressed by 20%.
