[ips-sf] ASWFC Summary Forecast for 05 August - issued 2025UT/04-Aug-2024 [SEC=OFFICIAL]

The planetary Kp-index reached G3 during the period 04/12-15UT, G2
04/15-18UT and G1 04/06-09UT on 04-Aug in association with sustained
southward interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) conditions observed
04/0100-1600UT. The solar wind remains light with no distinct shock
arrival observed. On UT day 04-Aug solar activity is expected to be
R1-R2. The solar wind speed is expected to be light to moderate. G0-G1
geomagnetic conditions are expected due to possible weak CME arrivals.
S0 solar radiation storm conditions are expected. HF radio
communication conditions are expected to be fair to normal, with fair
conditions during local night hours. Maximum usable frequencies are
expected to be near predicted values to 15% enhanced. Shortwave
fadeouts are probable.
