Low Solar Activity, with a slight chance of an isolated Moderate
event. The solar wind speed is presently above 500 km/s and
geomagnetic conditions at Quiet to Unsettled levels. A favourable
interplanetary magnetic field orientation of prolonged southward Bz
can lead to Active and Minor Storm levels in the Southern regions of
Australia and the Antarctic. Aurora watchers located in Tasmania and
southern Victoria should monitor conditions tonight in case the
conditions become more severe. Conditions for HF radio wave
propagation will be mostly Normal to Fair.
