Low to moderate solar flare activity is expected for 13-Apr. The
coronal mass ejection observed on 11-Apr is expected to arrive late on
13-Apr, This will result in an increase in solar wind speed, which is
currently moderate. Geomagnetic conditions, currently quiet, are
expected to reach major storm levels in response to the CME.
High-frequency radio communications are likely to be degraded 14-15
Apr. Short-wave radio fadeouts are possible. A solar proton event was
in progress for most of 12-Apr, but has recently declined below the
reporting threshold. Aurora sightings from southern Tasmania before
dawn on 14-Apr (local time) are a possibility .
