Update on geomagnetic activity on 30-Sep:
The interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) has gradually increased 
in magnitude and the north south component has become increasingly 
negative or southwards in orientation, a state associated with 
increased geomagnetic activity and the planetary geomagnetic 
field has reached G1 for the first Kp period and G3 for the second 
Kp period on 30-Sep. The Australian regional geomagnetic field 
has remained at G0 so far on 30-Sep. The cause of the enhancement 
to the IMF and southward orientation is unclear.
