SUBJ: ASWFC GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 25/96
ISSUED AT 0351UT/04 DECEMBER 2025
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE WEATHER FORECASTING CENTRE.

Update to geomagnetic warning 25/95.

The Earth entered a coronal hole wind stream in the second half 
of the UT day on 03-Dec. The interplanetary magnetic field was 
enhanced and orientated southward during this period. Planetary 
geomagnetic field activity reached G3 for one period 03/1800-2100UT 
and is currently at G1. The Australian regional geomagnetic field 
reached G1 for two K-Index periods on 03-Dec and is currently 
at G0. Periods of G1 to G2 planetary conditions are expected 
for 04-Dec, with periods of G1 possible early on 05-Dec.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED 
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
