SUBJ: ASWFC GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 24/46
ISSUED AT 1900UT/17 AUGUST 2024
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE WEATHER FORECASTING CENTRE.

G3 geomagnetic conditions at the planetary level have been observed 
on 17-Aug. G1 conditions, with a chance of G2 are expected on 
UT day 18-Aug. With activity expected to reduce over the UT day. 
This geomagnetic activity is due to the arrival of a CME associated 
with an X1.1 flare first observed on 14-Aug.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED 
DUE TO CORONAL MASS EJECTION
