COMMENT: Solar flare activity on UT day 29-Aug was R0, with no
solar flares. There are currently six numbered sunspot regions
on the solar disk. Active region (AR) 4520 (S12E21, beta) has
grown in the past day but appears to have stabilised. All other
regions are either stable or in decay. Solar activity is expected
to be R0 over 30-31 Aug and 1-Sep. No CMEs were observed on UT
day 29-Aug. S0 solar radiation storm conditions were observed
on UT day 29-Aug. S0 solar radiation storm conditions are expected
over 30-31 Aug and 1-Sep. SO UT day 29-Aug the solar wind environment
remained disturbed from the previous day's CME arrivals and coronal
hole influence. The solar wind speed ranged from 350 to 470 km/s.
The peak total interplanetary field strength (IMF, Bt) was 13
nT and the north-south IMF component range (Bz) was +9 to -11
nT, with several periods of southward Bz at the beginning of
the day. The solar wind is expected to begin recovering, with
some brief enhanced periods due to some weak coronal hole features
currently nearing a geoeffective location.

region on UT day 29-Aug. G1-G3 geomagnetic conditions were observed
in the Antarctic region. G0 geomagnetic conditions are expected
over 30-31 Aug and 1-Sep.
