COMMENT: Solar activity has been low over the last 24 hours,
with C1 flares from regions 2139 (N14E24) and 2144 (S19W27).
A long filament lifted around 16 UT from near the southern central

solar wind speed declined from ~360 km/s to ~330 km/s. The IMF
Bz component varied between -4 nT and +3 nT Solar activity is
expected to be low over the next 3 days, with a chance of M-class

Observed Regional daily pc3 Indices 15 Aug :
      Darwin 19 (Quiet)
      Townsville 0 (Quiet)

      Canberra 0 (Quiet)

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be
well correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic
survey flight-line data.

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.

region during the last 24 hours, with some unsettled periods
in the Antarctic. Conditions are expected to become unsettled
during 16-Aug, returning to quiet conditions by 18-Aug.
