COMMENT: Several C-class flares from regions 1731(N09E37) and
1733(S17W42) on April 28. The largest event of the period was
a C4.4 flare from region 1733 at 2017U and was associated with
a type II sweep estimated at approximately 570 km/s. No associated
CME was evident based on the available LASCO images. Region 1733
appeared stable while region 1731 showed further growth. C-class
flares are expected with a chance for M-class flares over the
forecast period. The IMF Bz component fluctuated +/-4nT over
the UT day with one sustained negative period (-5nT) from 0900-1300UT.
Expect relatively stable IMF conditions on a declining solar
wind next three days.

Region 1718 (N20) which previously produced M-flare(s) is due
to return around 29 Apr.

Observed Regional daily pc3 Indices 28 Apr :
      Darwin 0 (Quiet)
      Townsville 0 (Quiet)

      Canberra 0 (Quiet)

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be
well correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic
survey flight-line data.

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.

isolated Unsettled period ~1200UT in response to a sustained
period of moderately southwards-directed IMF. Geomagnetic activity
is expected to be predominantly Quiet for the next few days
