15 Apr 30 Active to minor storm
COMMENT: IPS Geomagnetic Warning 14 was issued on 12 April and
is current for interval 13-16 April. Further geomagnetic activity
is expected due to favorably located CME's associated with flares
M2.3 1326UT/11 and an X2.0 1028UT/12.

4A. AUSTRALIAN REGION IONOSPHERIC SUMMARY
Date T index
12 Apr 70
Observed Australian Regional MUFs
Equatorial PNG Region:
Near predicted monthly values.
Northern Australian Region:
Near predicted monthly values.
Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
Depressed by 45% during local day,
Depressed by 15% during local night.
Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base):
PCA.
Predicted Monthly T index for April: 120
4B. AUSTRALIAN REGION IONOSPHERIC FORECAST
Date T index MUFs
13 Apr 90 about 10% below predicted monthly values
14 Apr 90 about 15% below predicted monthly values
15 Apr 70 10 to 30% below predicted monthly values
COMMENT: IPS HF Communications Warning 24 was issued on 12 April
and is current for interval 14-16 April. Shortwave fadeouts expected
on daylight HF circuits. Enhanced proton fluxes associated with
both M7.9 and X2.3 flares from region 9415 on 9 Apr and 10 Apr
are affecting high-latitude HF comms. Further degraded propagation
conditions are expected due to favorably located CME's associated
with flares M2.3 1326UT/11 and an X2.0 1028UT/12.
