A weak (23nT) impulse was observed in the IPS magnetomter data at
1524UT on 09 Jan.

      Enhanced by 45% during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Enhanced by 40% during local night.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:

   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base):
      Depressed by 15% over the UT day.

2. FORECAST (16 JANUARY - 22 JANUARY)
Solar: Low to moderate.

Geomagnetic:
	16-18: Mostly unsettled to active with minor storm level
	       intervals possible.
	19-22: Returning to mostly unsettled to quiet.

Frequencies: 
	16-18: Depressions of 15-30% at times initially, with
	       frequencies mostly depressed 15% to normal.
	19-22: Returning to mostly near predicted monthly values.
