Solar activity on UT day 3-Jan is expected to be at the R1-R2 level,
with a chance of R3. The solar wind speed is expected to be moderate.
G0-G1 geomagnetic conditions, with a chance of G2 are expected due to
an anticipated glancing impact from a CME first observed on 31-Dec. HF
radio communication conditions are expected to be mostly normal, with
degradations at high latitudes possible following anticipated
geomagnetic activity. Maximum usable frequencies (MUFs) in the
Australian region are expected to be near predicted monthly values,
with depressions possible in the southern Australian region following
anticipated geomagnetic activity. Shortwave fadeouts are probable.
