Solar activity on UT day 03-Sep is expected to be at R0. The
anticipated arrival of a recent CME has yet to eventuate. Geomagnetic
activity reached G1 overnight on 02-Sep due to a coronal hole wind
stream. The solar wind speed is expected to be moderate to strong on
03-Sep due to an expected arrival of a CME. G0 geomagnetic conditions
are initially expected, increasing to G1-G2 level later on 03-Sep.
Degraded HF conditions were observed over night for the southern
Australian region. Southern Australian region maximum usable
frequencies (MUFs) are depressed 15-20% after local dawn. Northern
Australian region MUFs are 15% enhanced after local dawn. Further
ionospheric depressions/degradations may be experienced on 04-Sep if
geomagnetic activity eventuates on 03-Sep.
