Solar activity on UT day 02-Sep is expected to be R0 with a slight
chance for an isolated R1-R2 flare from a departing solar region.
Recent S1-Minor solar proton conditions have ended. The solar wind
speed is initially expected to be light to moderate increasing to
strong by mid 02-Sep due to an expected arrival of a CME. G0
geomagnetic conditions are initially expected, increasing to G1-G2
level by mid 02-Sep and during the first half of 03-Sep. HF radio
propagation conditions are expected to be initially normal on 02-Sep,
but are expected to become degraded by late 02-Sep and on 03-Sep due
to the anticipated onset of geomagnetic activity. Maximum usable
frequencies (MUFs) are expected to be near predicted values to 15%
enhanced, but then to become depressed by 15-20% by 03-Sep,
particularly for the southern Australian region.
