Solar activity is expected to be at R0-R1 levels on UT day 18-Mar. A
large solar filament has erupted from the solar south west quadrant.
The solar wind speed is expected to be light for 18-Mar. Enhanced
solar wind conditions are now expected from second half of 19-Mar to
first half of 20-Mar. G0 geomagnetic conditions are expected for
18-Mar. Disturbed geomagnetic conditions (G1-G2), are now expected
second half of 19-Mar extending into first half of 20-Mar. HF radio
communication conditions are expected to be normal. Maximum usable
frequencies (MUFs) are expected to be 20-30% enhanced. Isolated minor
fadeouts possible. Degraded HF conditions expected from late 19-Mar.
