Solar activity on UT day 09-Dec is generally expected to be at R0-R1
levels. A short duration R2 (M5.4) flare was observed from a solar
region located in the south west solar quadrant at 08/2307UT. Further
isolated R2 flare activity is possible. The solar wind speed is
expected to be moderate. G0 geomagnetic conditions are expected. HF
radio communication conditions are expected to be normal. Maximum
usable frequencies (MUFs) are expected to be near predicted monthly
values. A brief shortwave fadeout was observed in association with the
R2 flare impacting lower HF frequencies on the east Australian coast.
Further isolated shortwave fadeouts are possible.
