[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 12 September - issued 2345UT/11-Sep-2017 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Tue Sep 12 09:45:52 EST 2017

Low solar flare activity is expected for today, 12 September. Active
Region 2673, which caused large flares over last few days, has nearly
rotated to the far side of sun. The earth is currently under the
influence of moderately high solar wind speeds, however, the wind
speeds are expected to decrease today. The geomagnetic conditions at
Earth today are expected to be initially quiet and could reach active
levels by the end of UT day due to approaching coronal hole effects.
High-frequency radio communication users are advised to use slightly
higher than monthly predicted frequencies.
