[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 11 September - issued 0413UT/11-Sep-2017 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Another significant X-class flare has been observed from region 2673
near the west limb. A fast moving CME has also been observed in
association with this event however it is not expected to impact
Earth. The event gave rise to energetic particles which have been
impacting Earth for the past few hours. Moderate solar activity
possible with a chance of another X-class flare from this region 2673
before fully disappearing over the western limb. The solar wind speed
is currently moderately enhanced but expected to decline to nominal
levels over the next 24 hours. Quiet to Unsettled levels of
geomagnetic activity expected over the next 24 hours. High-frequency
radio communications Poor for high latitudes and Normal to Fair for
other regions. Short-wave radio fadeouts are possible over the next 24
hours due to the possibility of strong flares from region 2673.
