[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 27 August - issued 0639UT/27-Aug-2015

Moderate solar flare activity with GONG H-alpha imagery indicating
region 2403 (S16W44) to be the source of the recent M2.3 flare (as of
0544UT). Coronal hole effects likely to influence the solar wind over
the next 12-24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions currently at Unsettled to
Active levels due to sustained southward Bz during local day. Should
Bz remain southward and/or solar wind velocity rises above Moderate
levels (Co-rotating Interaction Region followed by Coronal Hole HSSW)
Minor to Major Storm periods are possible with Aurora sightings likely
from southernmost Australian regions. Short-wave radio fadeouts
possible. High-frequency radio communications fair to normal at all
latitudes.
