Solar X-ray flare activity was Moderate during Oct 18. Region 2192
produced the largest flare of the day. These region is a beta-gamma
magnetic class and has undergone notable growth over the last 24
hours. The 3-day outlook is for moderate solar activity. The solar
wind speed is presently about 430 km/s. Geomagnetic conditions are
expected to be Quiet to Unsettled with possible isolated Active
intervals during the next 24 hours. Propagation conditions are
expected to be normal to enhanced during Oct 19. Short-wave radio
fadeouts possible.
