COMMENT: Seven spot regions with AR 12146 (N08 W04) and 12148
(N07 E15) contributing to the numerous C-class flares with AR
12149 (N11 E62) the most active region, also producing the single
M flare. SDO images indicate there may have been eruptions associated
with two C-class flares from AR 12146 at 1027 and 1552 UT. Type
II emissions (associated with flare related CMEs) were observed
with these two flares along with a C-class flare at 0006 UT from
AR 12148. The limited SOHO images show a CME on the west limb
at ~1242 UT that may be associated with the 1027 UT flare. If
Earth directed, this may impact on 25/26 Aug. ACE data show solar
wind speed below 380 km/s with the north-south IMF range +/-4
nT. Correction: the M3.4 flare on 21 Aug originated from AR 12149,
not AR 12148.

Observed Regional daily pc3 Indices 22 Aug :
      Darwin 12 (Quiet)
      Townsville 0 (Quiet)

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be
well correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic
survey flight-line data.

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.
