1A. SOLAR SUMMARY
Activity 25 Apr: Low

Flares: none.

Observed 10.7 cm flux/Equivalent Sunspot Number for 25 Apr: 119/71

1B. SOLAR FORECAST
             26 Apr 27 Apr 28 Apr
Activity Low to moderate Low Low

10.7cm/SSN 120/72 120/72 120/72

COMMENT: Region 1726 (N13W63) produced several C class flares,
the larger being a C5.6 event at 1728UT. This region has continued
to grow, but will rotate off the visible solar disk in the next
24 hours. Major C-flares are expected form this region with a
chance for M-class flares over the next 24 hours. Solar wind
speed increased from 450 to ~ 600 km/s following an IMF phi component
phase change during the later part of the UT day and is expected
to return to light to moderate levels today, 26 April. The IMF
Bz remained mostly within +/-5nT, and is expected to remain relatively
stable for the next three days.

Observed Regional daily pc3 Indices 25 Apr :
      Darwin 4 (Quiet)
      Townsville 0 (Quiet)

      Gingin 8 (Quiet)
      Canberra 9 (Quiet)

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be
well correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic
survey flight-line data.

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.
