SUBJ: IPS DAILY SOLAR AND GEOPHYSICAL REPORT
ISSUED AT 10/2330Z APRIL 2005 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE
SUMMARY FOR 10 APRIL AND FORECAST FOR 11 APRIL - 13 APRIL
STATUS INDICATORS SOL:GREEN MAG:** YELLOW ** ION: GREEN

1A. SOLAR SUMMARY
Activity 10 Apr: Very low

Flares: none.

Observed 10.7 cm flux/Equivalent Sunspot Number for 10 Apr: 88/32

1B. SOLAR FORECAST
             11 Apr 12 Apr 13 Apr
Activity Very low Very low Very low
Fadeouts None expected None expected None expected
10.7cm/SSN 85/27 85/27 85/27
COMMENT: Solar wind slow and steady at around 350km/sec. Solar
wind speed expected to increase in next 24 hours due to anticpated
entry into a coronal hole wind stream. No significant flare activity
of past 24 hours. Some activity seen off southeast limb (south
24) by Learmonth and Culgoora H-alpha patrol. Activity was present
a few days ago as well but now seems to have stopped.

COMMENT: IPS Geomagnetic Warning 14 was issued on 10 April and
is current for interval 11-12 April. Moderate coronal hole wind
stream induced geomagnetic activity expected next few days.
