Observed 10.7 cm flux/Equivalent Sunspot Number for 01 Feb: 126/79

1B. SOLAR FORECAST
             02 Feb 03 Feb 04 Feb
Activity Low to moderate Low to moderate Low to moderate

10.7cm/SSN 130/84 135/89 140/94
COMMENT: The Type II sweep observed on 31 January was associated
with an eruptive prominence. Recent flare/CME activity, primarily
from solar region 276, does not appear to be Earthward directed.

2A. MAGNETIC SUMMARY

Geomagnetic field for Australian Region 01 Feb: Quiet to Active

      Hobart 0 (Quiet)
Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3 indices are the daily sum
of 20 minute pc3 indices for that station.

Estimated AFr/Ap Indices 01 Feb : A
           Fredericksburg 12
           Planetary 15

2B. MAGNETIC FORECAST
Date Ap Conditions
02 Feb 20 Unsettled to active with possible minor storm
                levels.
03 Feb 12 Unsettled
04 Feb 8 Quiet to unsettled
COMMENT: IPS Geomagnetic Warning 3 was issued on 1 February and
is current for interval 1-2 February. The CME observed on 30
January impacted the Earth at approximately 15UT on 1 February,
however, the IMF was predominantly northward, resulting in only
active to minor storm levels. Active to minor storm levels may
persist into 2 Feb.

3A. GLOBAL HF PROPAGATION SUMMARY
	            Latitude Band
Date Low Middle High
01 Feb Normal-fair Normal-poor Fair-poor
PCA Event : No event.

3B. GLOBAL HF PROPAGATION FORECAST
	            Latitude Band
Date Low Middle High
02 Feb Normal Normal-Fair Fair
03 Feb Normal Normal Normal-Fair
04 Feb Normal Normal Normal-Fair
COMMENT: HF conditions have been degraded following an increase
in geomagnetic activity resulting from the impact of a CME at
approximately 15UT on 1 Feb. Degraded HF conditions are again
possible for 2 Feb.

from the impact of a CME at approximately 15UT on 1 Feb. Degraded
HF conditions are again possible for 2 Feb.
