Predicted Monthly T index for July: 104
Comment: MUFs were frequently lower than predicted values
this week, especially during local night hours. HF
conditions were degraded in Hobart for most of the week.
2. FORECAST (02 JULY - 08 JULY)
MUFS: May be depressed by 20% for most of the week.
A weak CME impact is expected on 2-Jul to cause depressions,
followed by a large coronal hole impact expected to last several
days to extend the depressions.
Propagation conditions: Mildly degraded over 3-5 Jul.
T index: Model prediction is 105, however observations suggest around 80-90.
3. OUTLOOK (09 JULY - 08 AUGUST)
Degraded HF propagation conditions possible:
9-11 Jul, 22-25 Jul, 31-Jul to 2-Aug
PLEASE NOTE:
Space weather conditions can frequently be determined by short
timescale events that cannot be forecast a week in advance,
particularly at solar maximum.
