2. FORECAST (24 MAY - 30 MAY)
MUFS:
MUFs are expected to be near monthly predicted values to
15% depressed over 24-26 May due to coronal hole high speed
wind stream effects. MUFs are expected to be near monthly
over 27-30 May.
Propagation conditions:
Propagation conditions are expected to be mostly normal
with a chance of degradations, particularly at higher
latitudes, over 24-26 May due to coronal hole high speed
wind stream effects. Mostly normal propagation conditions
are expected over 27-30 May. SWFs are probable for 24-30 May.
T index: 87
ASWFC HF Communications Warning 48 was issued on 21 May and is
current for 22-24 May. ASWFC SWF HF Communications Warning 49
was issued on 22 May and is current for 23-25 May.
3. OUTLOOK (31 MAY - 30 JUNE)
Degraded HF propagation conditions possible:
2-4 Jun, 20-22 Jun, 29-30 Jun
PLEASE NOTE:
Space weather conditions can frequently be determined by short
timescale events that cannot be forecast a week in advance,
particularly at solar maximum.
