2. FORECAST (02 FEBRUARY - 08 FEBRUARY)
MUFS: Variable ionospheric conditions expected on 02 Feb, with northern
Australian region MUFs currently near normal, and southern Australian regional
MUFs expected to become depressed 15% later in the day due to onset of
geomagnetic activity from a recent CME. Depressed and degraded
conditions are generally expected after local dawn on 3 Feb, particularly
for the southern Austral region, if geomagnetic activity intensifies
during local night hours tonight. MUFs near predicted monthly values on
other days of the week.
Propagation conditions: Fair 02 Feb, Fair to Poor 3 Feb, Fair to Normal on 4
Feb.
Otherwise normal. SWFs probable early in week.
T index: 38
SWS SWF HF Communications Warning 10 was issued on 30 January
and is current for 31 Jan to 2 Feb. SWS Preliminary HF Communications
Warning 11 was issued on 31 January and is current for 2-3 Feb.
3. OUTLOOK (09 FEBRUARY - 11 MARCH)
Degraded HF propagation conditions possible:
No significant degraded periods expected.
PLEASE NOTE:
Space weather conditions can frequently be determined by short
timescale events that cannot be forecast a week in advance,
particularly at solar maximum.
