cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.
G1 conditions were observed in Australia on 06-Nov, G3 conditions
were observed on 12-Nov, G0 otherwise.
2. FORECAST (13 NOVEMBER - 13 DECEMBER)
Disturbed Periods:
14 Nov, 26-27 Nov, 4-5 Dec.
Best Quiet Periods:
17-24 Nov, 29-30 Nov, 7 Dec.
3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 17-24 Nov, 29-30 Nov, 7 Dec.
Central Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: 14 Nov, 26 Nov, 03-05 Dec
Best Quiet Periods: 17-24 Nov, 29-30 Nov, 7 Dec.
Southern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: 14 Nov, 26 Nov, 03-05 Dec
Best Quiet Periods: 17-18 Nov, 22 Nov, 8-10 Dec.
Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.
PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
