On UT day 30-Sep solar activity is expected to be R1 with a chance of
R2. S0 solar radiation storm conditions are expected. The solar wind
speed has been moderate. However, the north-south component of the
solar winds embedded interplanetary magnetic field has become
increasingly southward so far on UT day 30-Sep. Planetary geomagnetic
conditions have reached G3 on 30-Sep in association with the southward
pointing interplanetary magnetic field. The Australian regional
geomagnetic field remains at G0. HF radio propagation conditions for
southern Australian region are expected 30% depressed and with
degraded HF communication conditions during local night hours.
Northern Australian region MUFs have remained 15% enhanced with good
HF communication conditions. Isolated shortwave fadeouts are
possible.
