On UT day 28-Oct solar activity is expected to be R1-R2, chance R3.
The solar wind speed is expected to initially light then increasing to
moderate due to the anticipated arrival of a CME glancing blow. G1,
chance G2 conditions are expected on 28-Oct. An S2 solar radiation
storm event is in progress. HF radio communication conditions are
expected to be normal to fair for low to middle latitudes, with poor
conditions at high latitudes due to increased absorption. Maximum
usable frequencies are expected to be initially near predicted values
to 20% enhanced for today, with depressed conditions of 15% possible
for the southern Australian region late in the UT day on 28-Oct if
geomagnetic activity eventuates. Shortwave fadeouts are probable.
