On UT day 5-Oct solar activity is expected to be R1-R3 with a slight
chance for R4. The solar wind is expected to become strong to very
strong. G3 geomagnetic conditions are expected, with a chance for G4,
due to multiple anticipated CME arrivals. S0-S1 solar radiation storm
conditions are expected. HF radio communication conditions are
expected to become degraded with the arrival of the CMEs. Maximum
usable frequencies are expected to become up to 15% degraded after the
CME arrivals. Auroras are likely during local night hours at high
latitudes, possibly reaching mid-latitudes.
