Solar activity on UT day 16-May is expected to be at R2-R3, due to a
new region currently rotating onto the solar disk that has recently
produced an R3 flare. The solar wind speed is expected to be moderate,
with an overall declining trend. G0-G1 geomagnetic conditions are
expected, with a chance of G2 due to possible weak CME impacts. S1
solar radiation conditions are expected. HF radio communication
conditions are expected to be mostly normal, with degradations at high
latitudes. Maximum usable frequencies are expected to be near
predicted monthly values. Shortwave fadeouts are expected.
