Solar activity on UT day 17-Aug is expected to be at R1-R2 levels. The
solar wind speed is expected to be initially light, increasing to
moderate by the end of the UT day. G0 geomagnetic conditions are
generally expected, with G1 conditions from late in the UT day on
17-Aug and first half of UT day 18-Aug due to a recent CME. HF radio
communication conditions are expected to be mostly normal, becoming
fair late in the UT day. Maximum usable frequencies (MUFs) are
expected to be 15-25% above predicted monthly values. Isolated
shortwave fadeouts are probable.
