Tue Oct 12 10:25:27 EST 2021
On UT day 12 October, the solar activity is expected to be very low
with a chance of C-class flares. The solar wind speed is expected to
reach moderate to high levels in response to the arrival of the 9
October CME combined with effects from the equatorial coronal hole.
Geomagnetic activity is likely to reach minor storm levels with a
chance of major storm periods. Upon this increase in geomagnetic
activity, HF propagation conditions are expected to degrade to fair
levels. Shortwave fadeouts are unlikely. The auroras may be visible
from Tasmania, coastline of Victoria and Southwest coast of Western
Australia tonight.
