On UT day 11 October, the solar activity is expected to be very low to
low with a slight chance of a low M-class flare. The solar wind speed
is expected to be mostly near its nominal levels at the beginning of
the day, then the solar wind speed is expected to reach moderate to
high levels in response to the arrival of the 9 October CME combined
with effects from the equatorial coronal hole. Geomagnetic activity is
likely to reach minor storm levels with a chance of major storm
periods. Upon this increase in geomagnetic activity, HF propagation
conditions are expected to degrade to fair levels. Shortwave fadeouts
are unlikely.
