Sun Sep 27 09:31:24 EST 2020

Very low solar flare activity is expected for UT day 27 September. The
Earth is currently under the influence of moderately elevated solar
wind speed associated with a Northern Polar coronal hole. Moderate
solar wind speed is expected to continue for most of today. From late
UT day 27 September, the solar wind is expected to enhance further to
high level as another larger Northern Polar coronal hole is expected
to reach the geoeffective location on the solar disk. Global
geomagnetic conditions are expected to be mostly unsettled to active
levels; there is also a chance of isolated minor to major storm
periods. Aurora may be visible at nighttime from Tasmania and Southern
parts of Victoria. Normal to fair HF propagation conditions are
expected for today.
