Very Low solar activity with a chance for C-class flares is expected
today, 31 January. The solar wind speed is currently near its
background level but it is expected to enhance due to expected arrival
of the corotating interaction region and high speed solar wind streams
associated with a recurrent coronal hole. Geomagnetic activity is
expected to increase to Unsettled levels and at times may reach Active
levels. High-frequency radio communication users are advised to use
slightly lower to near predicted monthly frequencies.
