Very low solar flare activity. The solar wind is expected to increase
from moderate to strong today due to a high speed solar wind stream
induced by a geoeffective coronal hole. This will enhance geomagnetic
activity later today and possibly result in aurora over the southern
Australian regions such as Tasmania tonight. After the geomagnetic
storm commences expect high-frequency radio communications to be
normal at low latitudes with isolated degraded conditions at mid to
high latitudes.
