Very low solar flare activity. The solar wind is expected to increase
from moderate to strong today due to a high speed solar wind stream
induced by a geoeffective coronal hole. This will enhance geomagnetic
activity and possibly result in aurora over the southern Australian
regions such as Tasmania. After the geomagnetic storm commences expect
high-frequency radio communications to be normal at low latitudes with
isolated degraded conditions at mid to high latitudes.
