Low to moderate solar activity is expected for today, 8 Feb, with a
chance of C-class flares and a remote chance of an isolated M-class
flare. The increased solar activity is due flaring potential of Region
2699, which is currently located at S08E41 and rotating towards solar
center. The solar wind speeds are expected to be mostly near
background levels today. The geomagnetic conditions are predicted to
be mostly at quiet levels. High-frequency radio communication users
are advised to use near monthly predicted frequencies.
