Fri Feb 17 10:27:08 EST 2017
Very low solar flare activity is again expected for today 17 February.
The Earth is currently under the influence of moderate solar wind
streams from a positive polarity coronal hole. As a result, the
geomagnetic conditions at earth could reach active levels today with
isolated chance of minor storms. Auroras may be visible tonight (17
February) in Tasmania and possibly from the coastline of Victoria.
High-frequency radio communications users are advised to use lower
than monthly predicted frequencies today, as the storm associated
ionospheric depressions extend equatorwards.
