The solar flaring activity is expected to be at very low levels. A
very large positive polarity coronal hole is currently affecting the
Earth's geospace. Today (29 September) the solar winds are expected to
remain at very high levels of near 700 km/s. If the Interplanetary
Magnetic Field (IMF) turned southward for prolonged period, the earth
could experience major storm conditions. Thus there is chance that
aurora may be visible at the local night, today, from Tasmania and
parts of Victoria, Australia. HF conditions are expected to be
strongly depressed in the mid- and high latitudes, today.
