Very low to low solar flare activity. The solar wind speed is
currently light but is expected to increase due to anticipated arrival
of a coronal hole high speed wind stream today,30 Apr. This should
increase geomagnetic activity from the current Quiet conditions,
possibly to Minor Storm levels. HF propagation conditions have been
degraded with depressed maximum useable frequencies. These depressions
are likely to continue over the next few days with periods of
disturbed ionospheric support for high latitudes. There is a chance of
aurora sightings (visibility permitting) from Tasmania 30 Apr 2 May.
