Solar activity has been low, but there is a chance of moderate
activity over the next few days. The solar wind speed is now moderate,
having increased from around 19 UT on 12-Apr due to the influence of a
coronal hole high speed wind stream. Geomagnetic activity has
increased to active levels in the Australian region. There is a small
chance of short-wave fadeouts on 13-Apr. HF propagation conditions
have been degraded at low latitudes overnight, with depressed maximum
useable frequencies. Depressions are likely to continue over the next
few days. There is a chance of aurora sightings (visibility
permitting) from Tasmania 13 Apr.
