Solar activity has been low, but there is a chance of moderate
activity over the next few days. The solar wind speed is currently
quiet but is expected to increase to moderate due to the influence of
a coronal hole high speed wind stream from later on 12-Apr. This
should increase geomagnetic activity from the current quiet
conditions, possibly to minor storm levels. There is small chance of
short-wave fadeouts. HF propagation conditions have been degraded at
low latitudes, with depressed maximum useable frequencies. These
depressions are likely to continue over the next few days. There is a
chance of aurora sightings (visibility permitting) from Tasmania 12-13
Apr.
