Tue Nov 10 10:30:05 EST 2015
Low solar flare activity is expected on 10-Nov, with a chance of
moderate activity due to region 2449 which erupted with an M3.9 flare
on 9-Nov and produced a coronal mass ejection, probably not
Earth-directed. The solar wind is strong, due to the effects of a
large northern hemisphere coronal hole. Geomagnetic conditions are at
unsettled to active levels, with minor storm levels possible at high
latitudes. There is a small chance of short-wave radio fadeouts.
High-frequency radio communications are fair to normal. Aurora
sightings are possible from southern Australian regions on 10-11 Nov
if the interplanetary magnetic field aligns itself southward for an
extended period.
